Musical Theatre (Bachelor of Fine Arts)

Program Availability

Creighton’s Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in musical theatre will provide you with a range of experiences in theatre, dance and music productions. You’ll develop a foundational knowledge and lifelong appreciation of a unique type of theatre that combines songs, dialogue, acting and dance into one integrated performance.

You’ll perform in two theatres in the beautiful Lied Education Center for the Arts:

  • The Mainstage—a proscenium theatre that seats 350
  • The Studio Theatre—a more intimate theatre that seats 100

Musical theatre is popular the world over. Some of the most famous and iconic of musicals have been performed for generations, in large venues and small, by professionals and amateur groups. Musical theatre is a collaborative process in which every person contributes – on the stage or behind the scenes. As part of a community of performers, students learn to be respectful of others.

Creighton faculty members are active in the local theatre community and can help you locate summer internships and opportunities off-campus during the academic year.
